I am in a school type setting. I walk down a hall and into a bathroom. I am in there with a girl from my high school class. I am drawing on my eyebrows. But I'm not using a make up pencil. I am using a regular writing pencil, #2 pencil. I'm drawing them on, over and over, until my eye brows are bleeding from the sharpened writing pencil. My eyebrows bleeding doesn't seem to bother me. I have a q tip in my back pocket. I use my q tip to "define" the shape of my eye brows but I don't wipe off any blood. I throw my q tip away and continue to draw more on my eye brows. I need another q tip but don't have one, so I reach into the dirty trash can and I lick a used q tip and it tastes like ear wax really really bad! So bad that I can taste in my mouth in reality and I know I'm dreaming but can't wake up yet. I run out of the bathroom and go down a bright hallway and I exit put a door. Outside the door is like dirt and plants growing in little closed off areas. Something in the back of my mind makes me think it's a preschool or kindergarten play area even though there isn't a play ground. I find a drinking water fountain and drink from it, trying to get the nasty ear wax taste out of my mouth. I even wake up from my dream for real for real and have the nasty earwax taste in my mouth once the dream is over and I'm awake
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This dream contains various symbolic elements that can be interpreted in multiple ways.
School Setting: Schools often symbolize learning, growth, and self-discovery. This might indicate that you are in a phase of self-reflection or personal development.
Eyebrows and Definition: The act of drawing on your eyebrows could represent your desire to define or control how others perceive you. Eyebrows are important in nonverbal communication, so this might indicate concerns about your appearance or how you are viewed by others.
Use of a #2 Pencil and Injury: The choice of a writing pencil, which is not meant for makeup, suggests that you are trying to fit into societal standards or roles in an inappropriate way. The bleeding from your eyebrows might symbolize the pain or effort you are experiencing as you try to define yourself. This insistence on re-drawing your eyebrows until they bleed could suggest an obsession with perfection or an inability to accept imperfections.
Q-Tips: Using a Q-tip could symbolize a desire to clean up or refine certain aspects of your life, particularly those related to self-image. The act of licking a used Q-tip that tastes unpleasant may indicate that you are trying to deal with or revisit something dirty or negative from your past, particularly relating to your self-perception or how you present yourself to the world.
Bright Hallway and Outside Area: The transition from the bathroom to a bright hallway and then to an outside area suggests a move from a confined, perhaps uncomfortable, space to one that is more open and free. The mention of dirt and plants could symbolize a sense of growth, renewal, or the messiness of life.
Nasty Taste in Your Mouth: The lingering unpleasant taste upon waking may represent unresolved feelings or issues that are still affecting you. It may symbolize a need to cleanse or detoxify from negative experiences or emotions.
Overall, this dream may be addressing themes of identity, self-reflection, and the tension between societal expectations and personal authenticity. It may be worth considering any current pressures or expectations you feel from yourself or others regarding how you present yourself to the world. The dream could also be urging you to confront and understand those feelings rather than simply trying to cover them up.
